Stay Focused On The Eternal
"While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal" (2 Cor 4:18)

(James 1:2-6)
Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.

Christ's Example Of Humility
So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Phillipians 2: 1-11)

Be Willing And Obedient
Wash and make yourselves clean. Take your evil deeds out of my sight! Stop doing wrong, learn to do right! Seek justice, encourage the oppressed. Defend the cause of the fatherless, plead the case of the widow. "Come now, let us reason together," says the LORD. "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool. If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the best from the land; but if you resist and rebel, you will be devoured by the sword." For the mouth of the LORD has spoken. (Isaiah 1:16-20)

Brother's And Sister's In Christ
"The greatest among you will be your servant. For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted." - Jesus (Mat 23: 11-13)
Those who lift themselves up high in the eyes of man will be broken down by God with time.
But those who humble themselves willingly before God will be molded and raised by the Power of the Holy Spirit invested in them!
Through selfless prayer, loving devotion, acts of love and constantly seeking the Father’s gracious will, we can find favor with God.
"For many are called, but few are chosen." (Mat 22: 14) he told us so again this is our personal responsibility and in our best interest to make the right choices through out life and to discern what is pure, perfect and holy.
When we seek God's righteousness with all our heart’s we are promised full provision within this life through simple faith in Jesus. The Father looks after his children’s every need, whether it is happiness, love, financial support, health, anything and everything you could imagine and more for nothing is forgotten.
“Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds!” (Luke 12:24)
And how much more significant are we than the bird’s? Created in God’s very own image?
God makes straight our ways in life and helps us with everything along the way when we submit to his will, when we learn from him and grow spiritually into Heaven.
The saving Grace that flows from his abundant love is almost unbelievable at times! Nothing is outside of his power. Nothing is left to chance or a mere coincidence “why even the hairs on your head are numbered.” (Mat 10:30) So let us humble our selves before God and let God add real growth to our lives!
Like the flowers in the field that neither toil nor spin, let us flourish gracefully, petal by petal, with Jesus in our hearts, full of love, truth and faith as a triumphant brother or sister in Christ we are all destined to be…
All glory be to God.

Jesus Is In Us
"Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ IS IN YOU? - unless indeed you fail to meet the test! I hope you will find out that we have not failed the test." - (2 Cor 13: 5)
How Can You Feel Like You Have That Which You Do Not Have?
You begin with baby steps - by noticing and appreciating the abundance you do have. You do it by feeling thankful rather than resentful, and by focusing on what you have rather than what you don't have. You do it by noticing and appreciating every bit of good fortune, even if it's nothing more than finding a quarter on the sidewalk.
From that point, you can begin attracting more of the things you want - more of the abundance you seek. With each small step of appreciation, you start the ball rolling in the direction you want - instead of the direction you don't want.
The truth is, if you try to do it all in one fell swoop, you'll be disappointed.
I know, in the movie they show a man "feeling" that he's driving a new car, and then he gets the car. It's a shame that they presented the concept in that manner, because it turned a whole lot of people completely away from the whole idea. I don't know how many times I've heard people say "Yeah, sure. I can just sit in my easy chair and think about being rich and it will all come to me."
The ridiculousness of that idea made people believe the whole concept was nonsense.
As a result, those people are still going around saying things like "I'll always be broke," and "If it weren't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all." I cringe every time I hear those words. Just this week a friend wrote to say she wasn't going to be able to do something she wanted to do because she was counting on money from a sale, and "Of course it fell apart." Yes, of course it did. She expected it to, and her resultant actions caused it to happen just that way.
But back to what you CAN do. The baby steps. Appreciating and giving thanks for the abundance you do have. But maybe all you can see right now is the opposite. The first step for you is to shift your focus.
If you're reading this message, you either own a computer or have access to one. There's one thing to be thankful for. A whole world of information is right there at your fingertips. You can learn almost anything you want, because the information is there and so is your ability to see and to read and understand.
I'd call that something to notice and appreciate!
You probably also have a roof over your head and food to eat - and clothes to wear. It may not yet be the roof or the food or the clothes you prefer, but if you feel grateful for what you do have, something better will come.
I know that this tough economy is making people feel like all is doom and gloom, because the money they want and need just isn't there. But look around you at the things that money can't buy.
Look at the people in your life. There must be at least one or two that you are glad to know. There might even be one or two that you love, and who love you back. Isn't that something to cherish? If you have good health, that's certainly something to appreciate.
How about nature? Even city dwellers can see an occasional bird or squirrel, and most of us can look up at a night sky and appreciate the wonder of the stars and moon.
Whatever good things you have in life, whatever you see or experience that you like, put your focus on them - no matter how small. Do you love that first cup of coffee in the morning? Take a few seconds and savor and appreciate it.
You really are a magnet, and you really will attract the things you think about and the feelings that you carry with you throughout the day. The problem lies in the fact that so many are thinking "I want this, but I don't have it," so their attention is on "I don't have it" instead of "I'm looking forward to having this."
The magic in all of that is not that things will come to you without effort, but that your attention to "things going right" will push you into the actions that make it happen. You'll approach life with positive expectation, rather than negative expectation.
Stop for just a minute and think about that.
Pretend you're a sales person and you're about to call on a new prospect. If you walk into the meeting "knowing" that the prospect is going to say no, your words and actions are going to be completely different than if you walk into the meeting expecting them to love your presentation, realize what you have to offer is right for them, and say yes.
The same thing goes for going into a job interview. If you approach it feeling like you're the right person for the job, you will be a benefit to the employer, and you will enjoy the work, your attitude - and their reaction to you - will be far different that it will if you walk in thinking "Here goes another dumb interview with someone who won't hire me."
Read those last two paragraphs again - and feel how you feel when you say those sentences. Then feel the muscles in your face as you think them. I'll bet you'll notice the difference.
Changing your thought patterns isn't easy - if it was, everyone around you would be happy and abundant. Even when you decide you're going to do it, you'll slip into old patterns, but don't let that stop you. Just say "No" to the thought, and shift to something better.
Unless there's a specific action you need to take to solve a problem, just don't think about it. If there is, take the action and then move on to thinking about something that pleases you.
You really are not going to make things better by thinking about how bad they are. Really.
From that point, you can begin attracting more of the things you want - more of the abundance you seek. With each small step of appreciation, you start the ball rolling in the direction you want - instead of the direction you don't want.

Storms In Our Lives
One day he got into a boat with his disciples, and he said to them, "Let us go across to the other side of the lake." So they set out, and as they sailed he fell asleep. And a windstorm came down on the lake, and they were filling with water and were in danger. And they went and woke him, saying, "Master, Master, we are perishing!" And he awoke and rebuked the wind and the raging waves, and they ceased, and there was a calm. He said to them, "Where is your faith?" And they were afraid, and they marveled, saying to one another, "Who then is this, that he commands even winds and water, and they obey him?" (Luke 8: 22-25)
We are all on that same journey with God as the disciples where back then, we are all crossing that lake through life to reach the other side.
We can take heart brothers and sisters, the Lord is always with us, even though it may seem like he is some times resting. You can be sure that he is quite awake and very aware of what storms arise on our journeys.
We must know that there is no storm in life that God can not calm. We may indeed come across many turbulent times when we think that our ship is almost sinking. We may fear the big raging waves that come along but with Faith and trust in God, there is nothing to worry about. “Do not fear, only believe” the Lord said. (Luke 8: 50)
God will rebuke any storm, no matter how large the waves, or how strong the wind. We are in the very safest of hands.
But when we call out, will we be trembling with fear or with faith will we cast all our burdens onto him? There is nothing in your life that God can not put straight, this we must believe and remember “For all things are possible with God ." Jesus said. – (Mark 10:27)
So what will the Lord say to us when we call...“Where is your faith?”
Or will he say "Your faith has saved you; go in peace." (Luke 7: 50)
The choice is…yours.
